In-Person Workshops

A Cappella Workshop

An A Cappella Workshop is an interactive session designed to help your ensemble refine every aspect of performance—whether preparing for a concert, festival, or competition. Together, we’ll strengthen ensemble sound through blend, balance, tuning, rhythmic precision, and dynamic contrast, while polishing performance style with expressive solos, authentic facial expression, and emotional connection. We’ll enhance beatboxing patterns, solo delivery, and arrangement choices to create those signature a cappella “moments” that make a set unforgettable. Finally, we’ll refine stagecraft—choreography, transitions, pacing, and overall energy flow—so your group walks away confident, energized, and ready to deliver a powerful performance.

When working on competition sets, my primary goal is to ensure that every choice is purposeful, tasteful, and sensitive to the music and the performers. From the pacing of energy to the balance of voices, every element is shaped with intention so that the performance not only resonates with audiences and judges, but also feels authentic and meaningful for the singers on stage.

Show Choir Workshop

I’ve recently stepped into the show choir world and have had the pleasure of arranging music for competitive sets that have been recognized for Best Vocals, standing out for a contemporary approach that fuses my background in choral and a cappella arranging. This perspective brings a fresh, modern sound to traditional show choir performance.

Whether you’re looking for a focused music intensive or a full “cleaning” of your set, I’ll help your group walk away more confident, connected, and performance-ready.

Your Coach: Natalie Cardillo

Natalie Cardillo (she/her) is a New Jersey–based vocal arranger, music educator, and a cappella coach with extensive experience guiding groups through competitive performance and artistic refinement. Many of her arrangements have been premiered at the ICHSA and ICCA, and she brings a deep, practical understanding of what makes a set succeed on stage.

As a performer, Natalie placed 3rd at the ICCA Finals in 2013 with the collegiate a cappella group Vocal Point from the University of Delaware. As a director, she led the Ridgewood High School AcaBellas (NJ) to the ICHSA Finals for two consecutive years— giving her insight from both levels of the competition.

Drawing on her background as a vocal arranger, former high school choir and a cappella director, and lifelong a cappella fanatic, Natalie specializes in offering thoughtful, actionable feedback that helps groups craft sets with attention to pacing, nailing “moments,” solo delivery, musical sensitivity, and effective storytelling.

Natalie is the founder of ChoralPop, a modern music education platform supporting choirs and a cappella groups through custom arrangements, resources, and professionally recorded practice tracks. She also performs with the Delaware Choral Scholars, currently ranked #1 in the world by Interkultur, and is a former director of the professional all-female a cappella group Cape Harmony.
